*****It is available now. When you say you "really want to try it" do you REALLY want to try it at around $400 for 100 capsules? Because that, believe it or not, is what you may be paying. People complain, and rightly so, about the rip-offs in this industry. GSK has just joined the bandwagon.

Member12016 said: Hey avodart cost a lot less then $400 for 100 capsules. If you buy it from most internet sites that specialize in hairloss they really rip you off. If you can obtain a prescription though, buy it from a normal pharmacy. Here is a link to an Avodart pricelist at Drugstore.com. they are a much more legit company. Of course you will need to get a prescription first. http://www.drugstore.com/pharmacy/prices/drugprice.asp?ndc=00173071200

***** Thanks for your reply. I got my info from another hairsite where the majority seem all hyped up and prepared to pay almost anything apparently, just to get their hands on the stuff.  How long would 90 x 0.5mg. capsules used sensibly last? I assume if one starts using it, he will need to continue using it for the rest of his life (as with Propecia and Rogain) or anything that did grow will fall out again. Do you know if this is so?

Re: I really want to try Avodart!!!!

All you guys who are so hot to try Avodart should give it some careful consideration. Nobody really knows what the side effects will be until it's been in use for about a year or so. At this point, the proper dose for treating MPB is anyone's guess and since the they are soft gels it will be next to impossible to divide Avodart into a smaller dose. Why make yourself a test subject?

Re: I really want to try Avodart!!!!

Then try it. Go to your dermatogist or your primary and ask for a prescription. I did. And its not $400.00 for 100 capsules. Its the same price as proscar 5 mg. If you wait till its approved for hair loss your talking another 4 years.
