If Glaxo has halted phase III trials for hairloss, why would someone take it without FDA approval. there MUST be a reason why they halted it.

Re: Avodart Unsafe? no the reason tht Glaxz stop the phase 3 trial because they think they can't make profit from the new drugs. Becasue the best dosage for the drug is 5mg.If 0.5mg is selling at the price of $40/30 capsule than 5mg suppose to selling in the price of $200/30 caps. If the price is that high who will buy it.? And if duterride can not get a dramatically good result than Propecia than who would like to change to the new one. So they have to release the 5mg dosage to make the people the change to the new drugs. But the price is too high so ....

The reason why they cancelled the Phase 3 trials is that they know that many bald guys will use Avodart even though it has only been approved for BPH...So why should they waste all that money and time to get it FDA approved for Hairloss when like 99% of bald guys will use it anyways AS IS....

Re: Avodart Unsafe? The fact of the matter is that no one really knows why the Phase 3 trails for hairloss were stopped. Everyone is just quessing. My plan is to take Avodart for 2 weeks everyday then go to once every other day. And the off days..I will take one Proscar 5 mg. I got 100 tablets of Avodart for 272.00 Bucks. Also..I buy Proscar from http://www.generics-online-pharmacy.com You can pick up 60 5mg Finesteride tablets for around 46 bucks including shipping. Also check out http://www.genericsplus.com they also sell Finesteride very cheap. Fortunately for me, I live in Japan, so i can order Avodart from a USA Internationalpharmacy and import it to Japan for personal use without need of a prescription. The pharmacy that I use can ONLY ship drugs outside of the USA and not within the USA. That's why I don't need a prescription. I also have a Lasercomb too....Peace baldies! Oh..almost forgot..In the USA you can order Avodart(but you need a presription of course) from http://www.drugstore .com You can get 90 capsules for about 211.00 bucks....Also BEWARE of http://www.menspharmacy.com They RIP YOU OFF. They charge 400 bucks for 100 capsules of Avodart...STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Have you been taking Proscar prior to your combo dosage routine? Re: Avodart Unsafe? Well....Firstly..I have been taking Proscar 5mg once a day for the past 10 years..I started when it first was available back in 1992. The first few years...I had my Health Insurance pay the cost cause way back then Health Insurance Companies didn't know that Proscar had a Cosmetic use for treating Male pattern Baldness. So..in those first few early years, i was popping Proscar tablets like candy..about 20mg a day! That was for the first two years. However, the Health Companies finally caught on and they wouldn't cover it any more. Anyways My rountine is based on the fact that Avodart is really expensive and Proscar (Fincar) from India is very cheap. So to save money I am following the dosage that I mentioned. According to the enclosed Avodart leaflet..after a two week dosing of Avodart DHT levels are down about 90%. So I will take Avodart everyday for two weeks to drop the levels low..then everyother day along with Proscar. Anyways....according to my recent Blood test, The Proscar, after 10 years, has still managed to lower my DHT levels by just over 80%. In those ten years, I have never had any side effects, except groin aches once and a while...but I can live with that. I'm living proof that Proscar is a Safe Drug..at least for me I guess.

I'd think you'd look like "Cousin It" from the Adams Family (can't see his face from all the hair for those of you who've never seen it) after 10 years on Propecia. If not, then why take it? I'd switch to Avodart all the way if I were you, since the Propecia probably has not done the trick.
