I am a 26 year old female. And I am devestated! I have always had problems with my hair thinning in the crown area. But, it has always remained pretty thick and grow quite fast. However, approximately a year ago the front edges became thin and some areas in the front are bald. About 6 months ago my hair stylist noticed a bald spot in my crown area, about the size of a nickel. Now, six months later, it has spread and my entire crown area is thinning. I also noticed other areas in the back of my head that are thinning. I am a Registered nurse. I just took a moment to examine my scalp w/ a mirror and noticed. After going on this web site, I realized my scalp looks just like all the women pictured. I am DEVESTATED! I had such thick pretty hair! Please help!! I plan to make an appointment w/ a dermatologist. I previously had problems w/Hyperthyroidism and I am under stress. But then again, who isn't? Please advice my on how to cope with this. I just feel like I'm too young. I was born when my father was 48 years old. He was bald as long as I remember. But, I never thought I would have to deal with this. Please help. Any advice will do.
