Rogaine is very greasy. If you want a non-greasy solution the only one I know of is made by Dr. Lee, www.minoxidil.com. As far as styling tips go, wet your hair, comb it straight up, and then apply the minoxidil, with a dropper, directly onto your scalp. This will keep the stuff out of your hair!

Wetting your hair will reduce the effectiveness of minoxidil - I wait at least half an hour after showering before applying it

maybe it works better on people who have just begun to lose hair and have receding hairlines. (I am only 23 and may give it a try )

Even propecia says it's not good for the frontal hairline. It's because the front part of the scalp is the hardest to regrow hair. So, they FDA approve it through clinical tests on the crown and top areas. Otherwise, yes it can help in the front, but not as likely as it would on the crown. Hey, if it works it, works if not...NOT!

ok number one if you read rogaine water actually multiplies its effectiveness. so it is actually recommended to apply it with a moist scalpe. two it really does help with the frontal/receding hairline. and i feel that the younger you are or earlier you are to use it the more help it is. im only 22 ive been using it for 8 months and it has done wonders my hair looks like it doubled it s densitiy and my temples are growing back in. my receding hairline actual grew like 1/8th of an inch.

Try topical spiro in conjunction with minox, some people have had success with both.
