propecia question My hair loss started when i was 16, and in a year i lost most of my frontal hair line(almost no loss at the vertex though). I started taking propecia at 17. Now about 8 months later it is noticable that my hair loss has slowed dramaticly. My question is if it does stop falling out will my hair line grow back? And Has anyone ever gotten their hairline back after taking propicia?

hoping, as for puting it on at night, it need to be at least 2-3 hours before you go to sleep for it to absorb and be affective, i beleive it says in the booklett. i just put it on after a shower in the morning and comb my hair to the sides and little forward, loks fine, then at night again 3 or 4 hours before i go to sleep.

You should use Retin-A with Minoxidil, for the front. It does work, for some people.

Propecia inhibits the enzyme that converts testostrones in to DHT. DHT is a hormone which plays important role your growth till you become an adult. After you attain a complete adulthood DHT is useless and also cause for hairloss. At 17 propecia is not a good recommedation. you may switch to rogaine till 23. I am surprised that your doctor suggested for propecia at 17. Stop immediately.

yea i know your suppose to apply it like that. But i dont wash my hair at night i just wet it so i get the magnify affect. i usually put it on 30-60 mins before i go to bed. Just dont rub your head on the pillow. and i usually apply it after school which is like dependent on day 2 or 4 pm. I have been with this routine for 11 months and my hair density has doubled and my receding temples are a thing of the past and my front hairline has grew back. with the temples i use my fingers to rub teh minox i also do that to my front hairline. The only thing i have followed in teh booklet is the wet scalp theory. Other then that i have had major results with the way i have been applying it basically when ever i want:) i just make sure it doesnt get abosrbed by my sheets or what not. i also use nizoral.
