>>> Minoxidil // Receding Hairline // Shaved Head - Q's??? Hey y'all. Any help would be appreciated.I'm 21 My father encountered the same problems when he was my age. My hairline is receding rapidly, and becoming very thin. the rest of my head is fine. I recently bought 'Kirkland Signature 5% Minoxidil' to try and grow same of the hair back at my hairline. Q/1. Is this the right soloution for my problem??? Its only been 3 weeks, but it seems to be making it look a little thiner! im goin to ride it out for at least 2 months though. Q/2. What else could i use to thicked the little hair i have left on the hairline. Also. Because of the hairloss ive changed my hairstyle to a shaved number 1 with clippers, and im doing this once a week. Q/3. Will this affect the regrowth???
thanks in advance.

I doubt your Hair will get worse from shaving it, as long as its not ripping it out as opposed to cutting it. And the Minoxidil i believe will thin your hair out first as the weaker hairs shed and are replaced by healthier thicker hairs... theoretically. So that could explain the thinning. Proscar worked for me as a cheaper alternative to Propecia. So you could use this in addition to the Minoxidil...

In the SAME scenario as you man...21 with a pretty bad receding hairline... I'm 2 months into 5% minoxidil+ 2% nizoral treatments and 1 month into brand-name propecia. I can say my hairline looks NOTICABLY worse right now. It has thinned+receded moreso now, but I am seeing a lot of tiny hairs coming in at the hairline, so this could be a good thing. I comb all my hair forward now to cover the recession. Also, the nizoral has thickened up my hair quite nicely. I wouled recommend using it in your regimen. Seems like you cut your hair very short anyways, but when it grows in, you should use niz.

Hey man, I also shave/buzz my head and it won't harm your hair in anyway. Im glad I did it because it makes me feel better about myself and im not so worried about my hair as much anymore. Only problem is I'm almost afraid to let my hair grow back lol.

RAMO-"hairline" means the front and temple areas. Basically, where the hair starts in the front. david1983-start with 5% Minoxidil. Give it a year. If there is no regrowth, try Xandrox 15%(15% Minoxidil). It helps where 5% doesn't. Diamond Dave-Minoxidil will work for some people in the front. It wasn't tested for frontal hairloss so nobody knows what percentage of men will respond.
