Avodart v.s. Propecia

I have been on Propecia for about 5 years now. I had most of my hair when I went on it but I was obviously losing it. I wanted to start treatment to keep it from progressing. The Propecia did help the inflammation on my scalp and it slowed down my hair loss a lot, but it never grew anything back or stopped it completely. I am positive it has slowed the hair loss down but that's it.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Propecia before changing over to Advodart? If so could you please tell me how the Advodart has effected you. Has it worked about the same as Propecia, better, or worse? Can you tell a big difference either way? I know Advodart should work better on paper but for reasons we don't always understand sometimes what should work better doesn't necessarily work better, or even as good.

Josh

Avodart has worked better for me than Propecia. I have some regrowth after 2 years of treatment. However, I have hit a plateau and am now going to use it topically.

Avodart or Oral Spiro?

Do you have any idea how Avodart compares to oral Spiro when it comes to treating hair loss? I know oral spiro has a lot more side effects than Avodart but which would be a better hair loss treatment if they both had the same side effect profile, Avodart or oral Spiro?

The side effects I got with oral spiro was a little soreness in the chest after 3 months of use, which I knew meant it was the beginning of gyno. I stopped as soon as I noticed that side effect and the soreness went away. I didn't get any gyno. It seems to me that someone would have to stay on that stuff awhile after they started experiencing symptoms to get bad gyno. My libido was the same and I didn't really notice any difference in my facial hair growth either. Josh

Does anyone here know where I can buy Avodart? 8 months on propecia and rogaine 5% and nizoral, and still diffuse, and getting worse. I want to give Avodart a try cause I want real results.
