Should i stop Rogaine now that im on Propecia? please help me im very confused! Hi!The thing is like this, im 19 now and i started out with rogaine when i was 17 i noticed my hair was thinnin so the doc adviced me it because i wasent old enough to take propecia..so i did. The rogaine slowed down my hair lose and some hair came back now i don know if it was comin back or if the hair that was fine was shreddin down all i know is that it maintained and to some point stoped the hair lose process...now it came to point where i feelt that rogaine wasent doin much to gain back my hair and since i know was 19 i wanned to try propecia..so i asked my doctor if it was fine to do that and she said yeah but the one thing that bothered me was that she said u can quit rogaine and just stay on propecia, and i thought well maby it works..but then ive heard from these forums that they say not to quit rogaine cuz the hair you have gotten from it will all fall off...and im afraid now what to do Anyways now ive bin propecia for a mounth and my hair has never bin this fine...but i quited rogaine for about 2-3 weeks ago...and now im very confused! should i continue like this! or take rogaine with it! i mean im 100% sure that what i have is male battern baldness and that it was tricked by me gettin in to the pubirty when i was 12-14 my thinnin started from that time... Now im really confused i dont want to risk loosin more hair then ive lost...ive heard that some people say mixin Rogaine and Propecia is good while others say its bad and messes with eachother...and i have MPB so what should i do? should i just go with propecia and leave the rogaine or? help me im confused!

Take your propecia and stick with the rogaine.

Why not do both, that's the best way to attack MPB

No. Using both increases your chances of regrowth.

Using both Minoxidil and Propecia gives you the best chance at keeping your hair. While it is a pain in the ass to use you're better off continuing to use the Minoxidil if it is working for you.

Propecia takes three months to kick in and start working, so I'd continue the rogaine for at least three more months if I were you. that is, if you feel the rogaine is at least slowing down the hair loss.

Using the two together shouldn't be a problem. If you notice anything adverse then I'd regroup and rethink if you want to use both of them at the same time. But, that I've heard, there shouldn't be a problem with using both. But I can understand from your point of view being 19 how expensive using both of these is:(
