I'll kick it off: How many months have you been using the foam. 5 months Once or twice a day. twice Application area (crown/hairline). both Crown results. none Hairline results. far,far worse Do you like the way it makes your hair look. yes & no. gives it a dull coating but makes it look thicker Did you experience a shed. shed hasn't really stopped. could just be aggressive MPB. Do you experience any facial puffiness. yes. helped by drinking lots of water, but still get it. Does it make your facial skin look dry/crap. yes, seems a little worse. am i just imagining it though ? Does it make your hair "tangle" and lose hair when brushing afterwards. yes, all the time. very disturbing.tangled hair pulls out in brush. Did you take any before/after pics. no. don't need to. i know what my hair looks like. Any other comments. its only been 5 months so far which should be around the time i should begin seeing any results. I am not very hopeful though as my hairline has been decimated and i don't see ANY hair coming in. Did you use Minoxidil before switching to the Foam.Which brand. yes. Spectral DNC "A" version mostly, some "s" version. How long did you use this for. May 06 - Dec 06. (7 months) Once or twice a day. twice Crown results. none Hairline results. none. just carried on losing, but nowhere near as fast as foam.looking like i am just a non responder to minox. Any other comments. none Do you use Finasteride, if so, what dose/how long. yes, 18 months, 1.25mg proscar till Dec 06. 1mg Finpecia since. Do you use Nizoral, if so, what dose/how long. Any other comments.

i use the foam but not every month and not every application.depends on the circumstances.my hairloss certainly hasnt gotten any worse and has stablised since i began avodart and minox 10 months ago. i cant say i have much regrowth,my photos definetly show some but nothing amazing.they say one year mark is when avodart should really show its stuff so well see.i dont have much faith in minox.personally i think its crap and its only because of a lack of any other so called"growth stimulators"with any clinical data, that i use it.i really dont know why i continue to use it anymore.my trouble area was my temples and just starting to notice the top ever so slightly. avodart filled in the crown and minox did nothing for my hairline so im hoping my 2200 grafts will be enough to make me satisfied with my temples(only area still of concern, but 11 weeks is still far too soon to tell but innitial results are promising). the funny thing is,although nothing fixed my temples except grafts(fingers crossed)and my not even noticable to anyone but me ,thinning on my top,i credit avodart before ill credit rogaine,i dont know why i even use it,but i look at my mother who was experiencing post menopausal female pattern hairloss regrew a fucking ton of hair on the stuff.i mean all over and noy peach fuzz.if i had before and after photos of her youd be amazed.i think it really works far better on woman than men.

I had been using minox for a couple of years. When I stopped while on a cruise a few years ago, I lost a decent amount of hair at the crown. I maintained using minox once a day until a few months ago. At that time, I switched to Dr. Lee's xandrox. Well, I lost a good amount again. So, I abandoned Dr. Lee's products and went back to rogaine. I had started using the foam maybe two months before using Dr. Lee's products. I now use the foam twice a day at the hairline and the crown. I believe the foam is the best thing I'm using to minimize shedding. My hair sylist commented that my hair had gotten thicker when I first started using the foam. I wish I never stopped to try Dr. Lee's products (though I'm sure they'll work for others). For me, the foam has been great. Using it twice a day has helped to stabilize my rate of loss. Maybe I find a couple hairs coming out in the shower. Until they come out with something better, I'm sticking to the foam. It is definitely helping. It may have regrown some hair at the crown. I'm not sure. I just know my rate of loss is much better 6208

Using Foam for 6 months (give or take). Applied to crown and hairline and vertex (use about a can every 3 weeks, more than rec.) Vertex and hairline stabilized Crown continued to lose hair, though at a slower rate. Yes had shedding but it stopped. This means it's working so i wasn't stressed about it. No addt'l growth that I can see. Added revivogen at night (Foam in the day) 1.5 months ago for regrowth at crown. After one month couldn't see a benefit so I added 10 ground propecia's to the revivogen and use it once at night (and foam once in the day). I like what the foam does to my hair in the day, it seems to thicken the top. To combat the dry dull look, after the foam dries (in what, 2 minutes) I use a shine enhancing product called True Shine by Abba (just a few drops). Cannot take fin or dut internally. Seeking to try one or the other topically from a componding Pharmacy but really don't know which. (I started another thread re: this for any input; much appreciated). Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, no other side effects of note. Hands down better than the liquid. Use a zinc based anti dandruff if there is itching or irritation, this seems to help. And, about once, twice a month I apply Iodine with a cotton pad to scalp and leave on for about an hour before I shampoo. this has gotten rid of a persistant soreness on the right side/crown area of my scalp. Thus I strive to follow strict scalp hygiene. Dont use Nizoral much(maybe once every 3 months).

anyone notice that the skin around their hairline doesnt tan as much as say your face, leaving your hairline(where the foam or any minox was applied)lighter in color that the rest of your skin??just curious if it was just me.i have a white ring just below my hairline that doesnt tan when i go out in the sun nearly as much as the skin that gets zero contact with the foam
