Avodart /Duasteride Hey guys I need a little advice. Thinking about switching to avodart or duasteride from propecia but am not sure about dosage. Anyone have any experience with this. I have heard guys doing .5 daily and some guys going all the way to 2.5. I started thinning at 19 am now 32. Still have hair all over my whole head but have thinning all over the top. People still don't notice. I have been on propecia and 15% minox for 9 years. It doesn't seem to have done a damn bit of good. I would like to really do the most I can. thanks

pete2086 Avodart is working a lot better then Propecia ever did for me. 0.5 is good enongh imo. Some find that 0.5 every other day works just as well. Check this Avodart/Duasteride forum for more info. http://www.hairlosstalk.com/discussions/viewforum.php?f=45

i am also interested in making the switch to avodart. then again, this sophora flavescens extract that i am on is supposedly more effective than propecia in the inhibition of 5-ar2. i will post the study a little later, im gonna grab some grub first. additionally, i should be receiving my flutamide topical here shortly. but that still leaves 5-ar1. im suprised to see that most people state that duta has furnished less side effects that finasteride. i guess the real question for me is how effective is duta in the hairline?

pete2086 I use Avodart , there are issues with Generic dut, however the preferred generic Dut is Dutas. chore boy Not heard of anything that comes close to Dut, not even Propecia, in the inhibition of 5-ar2. If there is a study please post.
