I love using the Keto Mousse so far. You can put a little on your fingertip and then apply it wherever you want to. It works great for people who still have a lot of hair on the crown but want to prevent any thinning since it goes right through the hair pretty good. The first couple of times I tried it I think I used too much and it kind of tingled a little. But after using it consistently for a few weeks now I use about half as much and it works great...dries/absorbs almost instantly and no tingling sensation whatsoever. I'm going to stick with it for several months to see if I can get any regrowth. I see a few new hairs sprouting up but I'm using so much other stuff (Zix II, Emu, Foligen etc.) I'm not sure what exactly is causing it. Even if I don't see any significant regrowth I'll probably stick with it since it totally kills any itching or inflammation. If I stop using it for a couple of days I can feel an itch coming back. I ordered some Keto cream too which I'm going to use on my temples since I want to save the mousse for the crown. The mousse is much more expensive than the cream so I'm trying to save that for the crown only.

I use 2% daily, without any irritation mentioned by others. I believe most of the studies mention 2%, however I see some advantages to 1%. You could probably use it more frequently and leave it on longer with less irritation mentioned by some. Also it might be wise to start with 1% for a few weeks to a month prior to starting 2%...kind of ease into it. I find that using AloeVera Gel avoids the dryness many people talk about.

i now use keto leave on cream that i think works better(hard to tell because i use multiple products and iv only been using the cream for 2 months)but,in theory, a leave in should be better than any shampoo and wash out product especially since keto,is supposed to regrow hair through two channenls. the first way it helps is that keto is a moderate antiandrogen(not the strongest but it helps if you are already taking others)the second way it works is similar to minox in the sence that it is a growth stimulant. basically its the best of both wolds(antiandrogen=stops further loss, growth stimulator=hopefully regrow some lost hair and density. this is the formula for success, what i mean is a future ,effective product must both effect androgens/hormones and second stimulate new follical growth in order to achieve cosmetic, long term goals. now althouth keto falls into this catagory(treats both needs)its not strong enough in either field to be of much use on its own,but to answer your question,i see no difference in leaving 1 percent on twice as long as using 2 percent and leaving it on as long as the bottle reccomends.lets face it,with shampoos most of the material goes down the drain and only a small portion remains on the scalp after being washed off,so leaving 1 percent on twice as long is as good as two percent half that time.then again, the shampoos(both one and two percent have additional industrial cleaner chemicals in the list of ingredients that are not supposed to be good for your follicals health,so leaving the one percent on to long exposes your follicals to these potentially harmfull chemicals longer than they would have to be if you used the 2 percent.ha ha ha ,its a crap shoot, the differences are unregogisable so i wouldnt think about it anyway, and to top it off like i mentioned in the beginning of my post,i have stopped using nizoral shampoo and switched to the pure 2 percent leave in cream with no additional ingredients other than carriers.its made to be used on skin conditions, not hair so its texture is a bit greasy, but if you have short hair,it can be rubbed in untill nothing is noticed in your hair.those with longer hair i would suspect the cream may pose a little bit of an application problem since although not as greasy as vasaline,it does seem to have some patrolium in it so imagine a cross between regular white moisurising hand cream and vasaline and youll have an idea what the product looks and feels like. ok so i think i provided enough info to possibly influance some of you to make the switch like i did and i couldnt be happier.mostly because i know that whatever benificial effects nizoral was proven to give, those tests were done on a shampoo(the worst of all delivery systems because you wash it out minutes later)and im hoping that although the cream wasnt studied, the proven benificial effects of keto will be amplified by having it on my follicals all day long rather than only 1 minute or whatever the shampoo bottle tells you to do.
