Systemic resorption of Ketoconazole in nanominox-MS ?? Hello,I am a NW3 with receding hairline in the temple region. I began using Fin 9 Months ago trying filling up my receding HL. Began using conventional Minox (Regaine 5%) 6 Months ago. I noticed a stabilizing of my vertex region prior to using Minox (propably due to fin), however I didn`t notice any regrowth at all and even no significant shedding.......... So I would enjoy a little filling up (maybe to become a NW 2.5), so I discovered Nanominox by sinere.com, And i discovered their product Nanominox-MS, which is supposed to contain Minoxidil-Sulphate. They state that one theory, why Minox does not work in everyone is due to low sulferase activity in the scalp, and I thought that this could be my case, soi thought about trying it out..... Now to my question: However their Product Nanominox-MS does contain Ketoconazole. So I am kind of worried that due to possible systemic resorption (Liposomes as a carrier vehicle) ketoconazole flushes into my system, and we all know that ketoconazole is a potent antiandrogen and was used in prostate cancer therapy for that purpose. So does anyone know if this is possible ??? Has anyone any experience wth the nanominox-MS ??? Thanks in advance, L.

No going to happen. True ketoconazole is absorbed systemically but the dose in my humble opinion is way to low to cause any side effects. If you take 1,000 mgs a day of tylenol you could eventually experience liver damage. If you take 10 mgs per day you will probably never have liver damage. Applying ketoconazole topically allows us to use a very very small amount of the medicine yet the follicles still get a hefty dose because we are applying it directly to the skin. To get the very same dose to the follicles orally we would probably have to take 100 or even 1,000 times more keto.....then we would see side effects. Your side effect worries relate to the dose of keto orally not to the dose used topicaly.
