lasers are working still, but iv decided to start avodart again. like i posted a couple weeks ago,i am now sure that the lasers are working, not only because i did not shed any hair after quitting avodart after 5 years(or more) but because i now have thicker hair than after 5 years of avodart and minox..this said, i am now thinking that although i didnt shed any hair after quitting avodart(thanks to the lasers,i believe) i cant help but wonder how much more progress i would have if i never quit avodart...i didnt stop avodart because of sides(never had sides, only was sick of paying for it) but im now gonna go back on avodart for 6 months and see if that helps even more....i do think avodart helped a lot, but it was more maintainance than regrowth, but i think that even though lasers now prove that androgens are not the only thing that can help with loss,we cant ignore that they play a large part...so iv decided to stick with my traditional therapy, and just use the lasers for a boost...either way, things cant get worse and im currently happy with my 6 month results(and these results are of only 6 months or lasers, with no drugs at all) and more important, after quitting mionox and dut, so i should have had a major shed after 6 months...anyway, thats my plan...i dont read of to many people using dut and lasers and since they seem to be the two most effective treatments, i see no reason why more dont use the combo(that is if you are in the majority that experience zero sides)

Why do say boost when referring to lllt? According to you, lllt gave you better results. So in this case I would think one should say you will use avodart for a boost. If I were you, I would wait and see how good your results are after 1 year of lllt before messing with it by adding avodart. Taking any drug that is pretty powerful for years or decades is not going to be good for your overall health even if you never get tell-tale sides, imo. So if you can avoid it and are getting good results, why mess with your body in the long run?

dee-- Try using 112degrees.com's product for it's standardized PM content instead of Dut. It'll be healthy for you (unlike Dut), and also prevent DHT buildup. Just my recommendation.

bcapop, if you are not going to build one, I would probably suggest a Laser Max 50 or Laser Max 90. Later on you can modify it and add more lasers if you so desire. I would probably stay away from any kind of "brush." They're just a pain to use.

bcapop... Deejack is using a laser helmet that he built out of a rubber kneepad, not a laser comb! Deejack... If I *could* tolerate it, I'd probably be taking it, too. It's an "easy fix", and I think it would only help things. Of course, I wouldn't be kidding myself like most people are that a dht blocker is going to make a huge, lifelong impact on my hair. That's what LASER HELMETS DO! lol... But using dut with a laser helmet could only help, and might actually help elevate dut up to the level that people mistakenly think it is in the first place.

OMG, I see how ever vigilant you have to be to stomp out this laser comb nonsense. How many times do you have tell people here that laser combs are basically useless. Wow, the old mindset is so hard to break out of. Come on people get with the lllt program and update yourselves. If you can't deliver 6 J/cm2 to the top of your scalp in a reasonable amount of time you will get marginal results at best. Laser combs can't deliver this dose level and thus they suck!

They did SO MUCH DAMAGE to the hair loss world! You can't stomp it out... it's like a trick candle or something that keeps re-lighting! I can't believe that this is even recent news that there are two different things... laser combs, and LLLT that works! This time last year, that wasn't even common knowledge HERE. This should have been figured out a long time ago, too. I really do blame our forum forefathers for sitting on their asses. Five years ago, I actually looked up to most people that had been around for years on the forums because I assumed that they knew what they were talking about. That was a mistake! Had I realized that then, who knows... maybe I'd be on year FIVE with a real laser device, and would have kept all of that hair. I'll use this opportunity, by the way, to bring up how lazy we've all been about RU58841. I've know about that for over five years I think, and yet no one has made the effort to really get this thing going. I simply refuse to buy it from China, and I don't know whether patents are keeping it from being made in the US or not, but we need to get this rolling. I'm probably too broke right now to really commit to this, but it still needs to happen, and we need to "shop around" to find a really going place that can make it for us.

We mean "standard laser comb", laserfish. The ones with 6-10 5mW diodes. Sorry about the confusion.

No I posted a quote a week ago or so from the lazerfish vendor itself saying it can't deliver proper doses in a reasonable amount of time. The Aculas handheld HB 850B at 250 mW can deliver at 1 hr 20 minutes. So I use a konftec laser, the Aculas 250 mW one. It is a handheld thing and not a comb! It is like a shower head if anything. This Aculas made by konftec is not a laser comb, this Aculas made by konftec is not a laser comb. There are no bristles or teeth on it. Now enough said perhaps! Except I want one those laser helmets. Holding that damn thing to my head for 80 minutes while moving it around every 10 minutes is a total drag. I bought it early last year before laser helmets really took off. Oh well my upgrade will come soon hopefully.
