I just looked at my old photos. Unfortunately I could not find one with both temples showing as a teenager or young adult before hair loss. I did find a few when I was between 6 and 10 years old and the temples were pretty even. No real temples to speak of and no asymmetry that I could see. Damn my childhood hairline was awesome.

Sandman - you have always reported good results from Propecia. I was wonndering if you have any health issues, such as insulin resistance, adrenal, or thyroid. I ask because I do, and strongly beleive this to be the main reason for my increasing hairloss. I have been on Fin for ten years now, and have been experiancing increased thinning over the past three years.

JohnNewGuy: No health issues of anykind whatsoever, and/or adverse side effects from Finasteride, and I've been taking the stuff for 1 month short of 9 years . Recently had a annual physical with entensive blood analysis and everything is great.
Keep in mind that MPB is progressive and as such Finasteside is going to slow your rate of hairloss, not hault it completely, so that may explain your "increased thinning over the last three years" as may your health issues that you outilne.

Sandman - Thanks for the info. Glad to hear that you have never had adverse sides from fin. My libido took a slight hit, but nothing alarming. You agree that MPB is progressive, so does that mean you have also seen a decline over the years? I firmly believe that my case of hair loss is a combination of MPB and hormone imbalances. I have always noticed increased shedding during times of high stress, not following my diet, getting adequate sleep or over indulging in alcohol. Alcohol in my case seems to be the key. Even just three glasses of wine will push me into an unhealthy state.
