I'm going back to using Propecia. Rogaine foam has really done a number to my hair. I went from a Type 2 to a Type 3 Vertex. The hairline around my temples has receded back far too much in just a few months. The rest of my hair feels limp and lifeless. Its like I'm in some kind of rapid aging process. I don't like it. I'm getting back on Propecia.

Did you stop it cold turkey? I'm thinking about quitting propecia, but very slowly. I don't think it ever did much for my hair in the first place, I shave with 0 guard now anyway.

Yes. Cold turkey. I think the Propecia was maintaining the hair I had or at least it slowed down the loss to an unnoticeable level. I haven't experienced any benefits from Rogaine foam yet. I'm hoping that the shedding I went through 1.5 months ago is an indicator that I'm a positive responder. But, if I'm not, then I'd like to try and keep what I have so I'll also supplement with Propecia. I'll also continue with Rogaine and give it at least 6-8 months before I completely give up on it. For Rogaine, I think you have to take 1 step back before you can move 2 steps forward on the Norwood.

If you look good with a shaved head, then just keep on shaving it. For me, its not a look I want to adorn.

I started taking Fin a few days ago and no side yet, shucks. Just wondering when one should expect to start getting sides from a timeline standpoint. I almost wish I would get sides so I can be a kid again, lol.

I experienced the same thing with the foam too, but I completely stopped using it after I lost a lot of hair around my hair line and vertex. Since then I have been using propecia and I have gained some of the hair back. But it is still very thin compared to how it was before I started using the foam.

I had propecia for one year with very good results. I stopped to avoid the acclaimed side effects. Then I used rogaine for the second year with less results... my scalp did not feal good and I had acne on scalp. I should also mention that I had acne break out on my face after I stopped propeciat. Anyway, in the third year I started propecia again (a fifth of proscar).

I also have been using scalpure for a week now .... and no miracles are showing off yet ... but I am still hoping

If scalpure doesnt show off, I am thinking of going a half propecia aday and rogaine ... and have this routine for the next two years .... what do you think guys ... or would topicals containing minixidile+ 0.1 fin like ProMox be a better choice than both of them

I stopped P in July and started R in August. I had lots (more then normal) of shedding from early-September to early-October. It has stopped, but my hair just doesn't feel right.

Not yet. I haven't found the time to wire the device. I'm considering selling the diodes I purchased.

My treatment will consist of Rogiane foam (twice daily), Propecia (5mg Proscar cut into 4 taken 1 before bed) and Nioxin shampoo (shampoo every other day). I also use Neutrogena to get rid of product build-up. I might add Nizoral, but I just don't like how it leaves my hair. And, if time permits, I'll start the laser treatments as well.
