I am looking for people who have successfully quit Minoxidil to share input. My biggest concern with quitting minoxidil is that I have read that several people get non stop telogen like shedding from minoxidil for a very longtime after quitting. Has anyone here managed to quit Minxoidil and regrow hair with alternative means? I know some of the natural specialists here have never used Minoxidil, but are there any of you have and made it through it? If so, what would you recommend topically and/or internally to help keep telogen effluvium from happening?

No I'm trying to stay off the big drugs (minox, fin) - the sides are horrible for me.

Oh - I've always been curious if someone was on fin and minox for a while, if the fin would make quitting minoxidil easier, ie possibly lessening any shed that might occur. Maybe you should try zix topical?

whatsthepoint, I have heard that even those who are on fin and quit minox still go into telogen eff... Because the methods of operation are different. I have tried zix topical for 6 months in the past and it just irritated my scalp even when reducing the alcohol level. I'm currently on Lamas topical but am looking for some other suggestions to combine with...
Kane - I was getting puffy face, dark rings, dried up skin and just an overall haggard look to my skin...

Mate, your face issues - that's probably through lifestyle. Sleep more, moisturise, and get out of the city on weekends and commune with nature a bit. Try to break the worry cycle that you're in. Your face reflects your mind more than you realise.

bluefin, I doubt it's my lifestyle... I do excercise regularly, get out, hike, bike and am fairly active. I eat a very clean diet and drink plenty of water. I am a firm believer in the fact that the mind has a lot of power over the body, which is why I don't go to doctors unless I have a major problem like a broken limb. I doubt this is all coincidence... I might believe it more if I were the only one with the problem, but it seems many people on minox exhibit the same symptoms...

unfortunate-
i remember the other week we had a small conversation about skin problems and propecia. After doing a ton of research I have chalked up my skin issues to a damaged liver from drinking too much. I did 2 liver flushes and my skin is almost clear again, i suggest you try it out man.
