Anyone seen any evidence anywhere that those of northern European descent, particularly red-heads and strawberry blonds, are more prone to MPB. I ask for sevel reasons. 1) Red heads are know to suffer more from other inflammatory disease problems, are prone to sunburn, due to inflammation not lack of melanin, and scar easily.
2) The UK seems to embrace shaved headed guys more than here. I say this because I am gay and I have been told numerous times that my over-all look would "clean-up in London." I have never been to the UK or Ireland, but I did date a guy from there. Looking at various gay "dating" websites in the UK, here seem to far, far more men with shaved heads.

I don't know that red heads are more prone to MPB, but they are definitely more prone to sunburn, which can't be good for the skin. I believe that inflamation is a big cause of it for European skin, but Africans and Indians go bald here as well. The shaved head look goes down well if you keep the rest of yourself looking well, which is a lot of hard work for most people. I have met various good looking girls that will only go out with shaven head guys.

I never go out for a long time in the sun without sunscreen.
Perhaps for whatever reason, the shaved head look is more popular in Europe, particularly the UK.

Back in India where I lived for the first 20 yrs, my parents/grand parents used to advise not to sleep with your head facing north. It has got something to do with magnetic field theory, and that our blood contains iron, and due to magnetic force, it leads to blood flow increase to the head and thus can cause stroke. I haven't researched this though, but who knows, this may have some significance in hair-loss too.
